Keeping Sustainability in mind
FOCUS 2022 will be opening the floor once again to the initiatives and technologies ensuring the most sustainable approaches to production. With three sessions in store and the presence of sustainable suppliers, attendees are sure to take away vital points on how to shift towards more environmentally friendly practices all the while maintaining high quality.
The Generator Project and Sustainable Film will be making way for in-depth conversations on the successes along with the shortcomings of technologies such as batteries, solar, hydrogen and traditional diesel generators. Hosted by Sustainable Film, the discussion will include thoughts from the company’s director Amelia Price, along with Green Voltage director Adam Baker, Pholex director Neil Ashton, Zenobē’s senior business development associate Robert Long and OnBio Ltd company director Tom Crooke.
With a first-hand perspective from the production sphere, Slovak Film commissioner Zuzana Bieliková and head of production services at Film London, Michelle Jenkins will be speaking on what has been learnt six years into the Interreg Europe-funded Green Screen partnership project. Discussing their industry achievements and challenges faced in the journey towards sustainability on set, the two speakers will share their own experiences on attempting to reduce their carbon footprints.
Sustainable Film’s Amelia Price will take to the stage again alongside Creative Zero co-founder Roxy Erickson and International Promotion Manager from Film Paris Region, Lola Legros. In association with Film London, the company’s sustainability manager Laurence Johnson with lead the discussion around the challenges, new developments, and the future of how to address both air quality and greenhouse gas emissions from the film and television sector.
